Arachnophobia

Last Friday, I was getting ready for work and came across a not-so-nice surprise...this:
A Wolf Spider!!!

Venom toxicity - the bite of the Wolf Spider is poisonous but not lethal. Although non-aggressive, they bite freely if provoked and should be considered dangerous to humans. The bite may be very painful. First aid and medical attention should be sought as soon as possible, particularly as to children or the elderly.
Spider Identification - an adult is 1/2 inch to more than 1 inch in body length - mottled gray to brown in color, with a distinct Union Jack impression on its back. The female carries it's young on its back. (taken from
http://www.termite.com/spider-identification.html)

We actually had one in our bathtub around this time last year and it was pretty humorous as we tried to use a pitcher to wash it down the drain (seriously, it was so big, it wouldn't go!). This time, it was on the floor...in my bathroom! I could have stepped on it (or shook hands with it, it was so huge). It had FEET! Doesn't it give you the heebeejeebees just looking at it?? Needless to say, it is time to spray this around our house again...

At times like this, I am SO thankful that I am married and don't have to deal with these things by myself...my husband is my HERO.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry you had to go through that. I HATE spiders, especially big poisonous ones. I think I would have called Justin home from work!!! :)

UGH! That reminds me that I need to start spraying before I find "friends" like this at my house too! I'm glad to hear that all is well with you and your family!

Stay in touch!
