And...the Joys of Oklahoma Winters!

Well, winter has finally hit Oklahoma. We have been spoiled with a very mild last few months, so I definitely can't complain about our first real taste of winter on January 26th-27th...but I thought I'd share a few pics. This looks like snow (for all my Minnesota readers), but it's actually about 1/3" of ice coated with 2-3 inches (and counting) of sleet.


Here's a view from our backyard. Notice the half frozen pond. Very interesting...don't get your ice skates out quite yet :)


Beautiful. Well, not so much to drive on, which is why I am staying home today (I have been checking my work email frequently, though!). Weather like this makes it perfect to snuggle up in one of these, with a good book, some hot chocolate, and, of course, TLC daytime, with a little bit of Facebook mixed in!
