Fun at the Farmer's Market...and Ethiopian Food!

Steve and I went to the huge farmer's market located near downtown Kansas City and had such a fun time! It felt great looking at all the fresh produce and being able to support the (mostly) local vendors. And check out this amazing loot we picked up...all for only $4.00 total!

The best part? It's a year-round farmer's market! We also had the opportunity to eat at an Ethiopian restaurant. I have been wanting to try Ethiopian food for a long time, and Steve was brave enough to venture out of our "meat and potatoes" norm to try it with me.

It was SO good!

And so filling...we shared an entree and still couldn't finish [Steve thought it was gross that I was taking pictures of our finished product for my blog]. But can you tell we liked it? The butternut squash soup was incredible. I can't wait to go back. We're having such awesome adventures so far. I love our new life!
